PayKickstart vendors can connect with Slack to send messages to Slack based on action trigger events for related products.

In your PayKickstart account, go to Configure → Integrations.

First, you’ll need to integrate on your main integration page.

Inside the Integrations menu, make sure to click on the Available tab.

Then find the Misc category in the filter, and scroll down to locate Slack.

You can also search for Slack directly within the Search field:

Enable Slack by clicking the toggle switch.

Enter your Account name (for display purposes) and click Connect.

You will be redirected to the Slack page to log in to your Slack workspace.

Please enter your Slack Workspace where you want to receive Slack notifications and click Continue.

Please enter your login credentials for your Slack Workspace and click Sign in.

After this, you will see a successfully connected Slack Service in your PayKickstart Integration section

After connecting your account, you must set up a Trigger to tell PayKickstart when to send customer information to Slack.

In the PayKickstart dashboard, go to Configure and select Triggers →

https://app.paykickstart.com/vendor/configure/triggers

Click the + New Trigger button to create a new rule.

Configure the Trigger settings as follows:

  • Status:
First, toggle the switch at the top to make the trigger ACTIVE.

  • Trigger Name:
Give your trigger a descriptive name so you can easily identify it later
(e.g., "Product 1 - New Sale to Slack").

Select Event(s):
Choose the event that will fire this trigger.
For adding new customers, New sale is the most common choice.

Please note:

Available event options will show clearly only after saving your first trigger.

We recommend choosing the New Sale event when setting up the integration for the first time as it would trigger with any new transaction that is created for the product.

For Slack, the currently available and supported events are:

  • New Affiliate Approved – Triggered when a new affiliate application is reviewed and approved in your system.

  • New Lead (for lead campaigns) – Triggered when a new lead is captured in a lead campaign.

  • Cart Abandonment – Triggered when a visitor enters their name and email on the checkout page but leaves without completing the purchase.

  • New Trial – Triggered when a customer starts a trial period for your product or service.

  • New Sale – Triggered when a purchase is successfully completed.

  • New Subscription – Triggered when a customer signs up for a recurring subscription plan.

  • Failed Rebill – Triggered when a recurring subscription payment attempt fails.

  • Saved Subscription (Dunning) – Triggered when a previously failed subscription payment is successfully recovered through the dunning process.

  • Subscription Pending Cancellation – Triggered when a customer requests to cancel their subscription, but the cancellation is not yet finalized.

  • Subscription Cancellation – Triggered when a subscription is fully canceled (excludes pending cancellations).

  • Refund – Triggered when a full or partial refund is issued to a customer.

IF Condition (The Rule):

This defines the variable that must be included for the trigger to run.

Important: The IF condition must be set to a Product, for the integration to function.

Best Practice Use Case:
We recommend creating a separate trigger for each product.
This makes it easier to manage and troubleshoot specific product integrations if needed, rather than having 1 trigger where all products are selected.

THEN Action (The Result):

This defines what will happen when the IF condition is met.

  • Set the THEN action to: add customer to Email Marketing service.

  • Account: Choose the Slack account you connected in your Integrations section.

  • Channel: The Slack workspace channel where the notification will be delivered, based on the selected event.

Once you have configured the rule, click the Update Trigger button to save your automation.

After creating the trigger, you will see the connected new Slack Notification for the product.
