When a customer informs you that they encountered the PayPal error The payment cannot be processed because no payment source is available while trying to purchase your product, it’s typically due to one of two common causes.
Why did this error happen?
#1. You (vendor) have a negative PayPal balance.
PayPal Adaptive processing may not function if your account has a negative balance. To avoid issues, we recommend maintaining a minimum balance of $100 or more in your account at all times.
#2. Another reason might be something specific to the customer’s payment setup.
Under the PayPal will use section, you’ll see a menu that typically displays the customer’s preferred payment method. However, in some cases, no payment method is selected.
If a payment method hasn’t been set, PayPal will cancel the transaction when Agree and Continue is clicked and send an error notification via email.

The Solution
To avoid encountering this error, the customer needs to open the menu under “PayPal will use”and choose a preferred payment method, such as a PayPal account or credit card.
