Creating Campaigns

Campaigns can be considered as a folder that holds related products, such as products for the same company or pricing plan options.

Campaigns will hold your related products, and those products will use information from your campaign, such as affiliate commission percentages, support contact information, logos, payment gateways, and more.

Campaigns also hold the sales funnels you will create to host your checkouts.

To create a campaign, follow the steps in this demo:

Or follow the steps below:

In your PayKickstart vendor account, go to the campaigns section

Once in the main campaign section, click to add a new campaign.

A pop-up will appear to name the campaign, and click save.

Most vendors name their campaign after their company or product/service line.

Once you click the Create Campaign button, you will see 6 sections in the Campaign settings.

  • Secret Key: This shows the campaign API key, which may be needed for some integration connections.

Inside the new campaign settings, you will need to enter the required information to save the campaign.

  • Campaign Name: Enter the name of the campaign so you and your affiliates can identify it.

  • Campaign Description: Describe your campaign or service and what it offers to your audience.

  • Campaign logo: Logos that will be used on checkouts and customer emails.

Upload your brand logo to appear on all checkout pages and email notifications. The image must be under 2MB, sized at 700 x 160 pixels, and in PNG, JPG, or GIF format.

  • Support: In this section, you can add your contact details to help inform customers on how to reach your support team.

Refund Period: Set the number of days after purchase during which a customer is eligible to request a refund. This helps define your refund policy and ensures consistent handling of refund requests. After this period ends, refund requests will no longer be accepted automatically.

  • Base Currency: The currency the related products will charge in. Must have a payment gateway integration with the same base currency.

  • Multiple Currency (optional): If you have payment gateways that can accept multiple currencies, you can enable this option in the campaign to allow customer purchases via the set currencies.

Please Note:

You MUST have a connected payment gateway to accept payments in the related currency. If enabled, you will have the option to set the specific product price in each currency, or allow our system to do the automatic price conversion.

When the customer selects their country (or from their IP address), if the associated campaign and the gateway selected support that country’s currency, then display the amount fields using that currency. If not, the default currency set on the campaign will be used.

  • 1-Click Upsells: Allows the customer to purchase the related products in a sales funnel with 1-click. will use the customer purchase data from the main funnel purchase to charge for the upsell purchases.

→ Learn more about 1-click upsell here.

  • Prepaid Cards: Enable this option to accept prepaid cards on your checkouts.

In this section, you can select which email delivery service you would like to use to send transactional emails. If you connected an SMTP service in the main integrations page, the option to enable that connected service will appear on the page.

  • Email/SMTP Service(optional): By default, PayKickstart sends out customer emails via our server. If you want to send emails via your server, you can learn more here.

  • Email Header Logo: You can select the light or dark campaign logo to use on related emails.

  • Default Language: Select the default language to be used for all system-generated email notifications, such as receipts, reminders, and subscription updates. This ensures your customers receive communication in the language most relevant to them, enhancing clarity and user experience.

  • Customer Notifications: Enable/disable email notifications you want your customers to receive for related campaign products.

  • Vendor Notifications: Enable/disable email notifications you want to receive for related campaign products.

  • Affiliate Notification: Enable/disable email notifications you want your affiliates to receive for related campaign products.

  • Webhook Failure Notifications: Enable this option to receive alerts when a webhook delivery fails. This helps you stay informed if your server is not responding or if issues are processing real-time event data, such as subscription updates or transaction events.

In this section, you can enable/disable and configure the option to attach an invoice in the New Sale/ (Rebill) emails.

  • Auto-Attach Invoice(optional): Enabling this option will attach an invoice to the receipt email sent to the customer.

    • Use Profile Company Settings: This optional feature will allow vendors to use the company details in their profile section if they do not want to use the company details from the campaign.

If you want to override the company profile set in your account-wide Settings, enter the details in each field.

You can enable/disable and configure the Campaign’s affiliate program in this section.

  • Show Campaign On Affiliate Request Page: This option will show the related campaign on other affiliate request pages for other campaigns to allow the affiliate to click and request to promote the other campaigns as well.

  • Show Campaign in Marketplace: This option will allow you to enable and choose up to 3 main categories and 3 sub-categories that will make your campaign visible in the marketplace for affiliates to find and request to promote.

  • Fraud Protection(IP Match): This option allows vendors to enable additional security to prevent affiliates from making a commission on their purchases. Learn more here.

  • Affiliate Request Page URL: the link that can be shared with new affiliates to request to promote the campaign.

  • Commission Settings: The commission percentages affiliates can earn.
Tier 1: an affiliate that shared tier 1 purchase links with the customer.
Tier 2: Affiliate that shared a 2nd-tier affiliate request link with a new affiliate, then the new affiliate makes a sale. The 2nd tier(original) affiliate can earn a percentage of the sale made by the tier 1 affiliate.

  • Commission Tier 1: Commission percentage for initial product purchase from affiliate(tier 1), sharing buy links with the customer.

  • Commission Tier 2: Commission percentage for initial product purchase from affiliate(tier 2) that shared their 2nd tier affiliate request link, then the new referred affiliate made a sale.

  • Commission Tier 1 (Rebills): Commission percentage for all transactions after the initial purchase. The affiliate who shared the original buy link with the customer.

  • Commission Tier 2 (Rebills): Commission percentage for all transactions after the initial purchase. The affiliate that shared their affiliate request link, then the newly referred affiliate made a sale.

  • Lead Tracking (optional): Growth and Scale plan vendors can also create Lead Tracking Campaigns to credit affiliates for any verified leads they referred to your campaign. Learn more about Lead/CPA Tracking.

  • Email Integration: Add an affiliate to your email autoresponder list.

In this section, you can enable/disable and configure your campaign’s security settings.

  • Duplicate Purchases(optional): Allows the vendor to warn customers of duplicate purchases or block duplicate purchases. Learn more here. You can choose to either give a Duplicate Purchase Warning or Completely Block the customer from making a purchase for the same product for the second time.

If you decide to put a Block, you can enter a text to show them when a warning is triggered. You can block certain IPs if needed. When IP blocking is enabled, the system checks the buyer’s IP address and compares it against previous purchases to determine if a duplicate attempt is being made. There are a few levels of strictness you can configure, depending on how broadly you want the system to apply the block:

    Exact (255.255.255.255)
This is the strictest setting. It blocks only if the purchase attempt comes from the same IP address.

    Class C (255.255.255.*)
This blocks purchases from any IP address within the same Class C range. This is typically within the same small network or household.

    Class B (255.255.*.*)
This is a broader range and blocks any IP address within the same Class B network, useful for catching duplicates across larger organizations or office networks.

    Class A (255.*.*.*)
The broadest level, which blocks all IPs within the same Class A network. This can span a very large set of addresses and is usually more aggressive.

After enabling the Same IP option, you can either block them permanently or set up a Block Duration in (mins.)

    Note:

If the value is left empty or set to 0, the purchase will be blocked until the related subscription is cancelled or transaction (in case of 1-time purchase) is refunded.

  • Invisible reCAPTCHA(optional): reCAPTCHA is a free service from Google that helps protect websites from spam and abuse. A “CAPTCHA” is a challenge-response test used to distinguish between humans and automated bots.

Customers will not need to take any additional steps.

All checkouts from the campaign will show this icon advising that Captcha is enabled.

  • Require Company-Only Emails: When enabled, this setting restricts purchases to email addresses that match a specific domain (e.g., @company.com). This helps reduce spam, improve lead quality, and ensure you’re engaging with real businesses.

After entering the required settings, you can now save the campaign and continue to create your products in the new campaign.
